At Qosqo Expeditions we are concern about the Pandemic problem around the world has crashed with the economy and amounts of people dying every day since the Covid – 19 started in Peru the country was locked down from 14th  March 2020,  after 1 year Peru has gradually opened to the world with 40 % maximum capacity to avoid contagious at the same time to reactivate the economy on January 26, all airline passengers coming from the United States and few 36 countries with people from 2 years old to older people must provide negative COVID – 19 viral test taken within 3 days before you travel to the country of Peru with documentation of a licensed health care provider if you had been recover from Covid – 19 you have to bring the information from the last 90 days preceding travel

COVID – 19 TESTING PERU REGULATIONS FACTS AND QUESTIONS

  • Are PCR and antigen tests available for U.S. Citizens in Peru? YES
  • Are test results reliably available within 72 hours? YES
  • Is tourism open in Peru? YES, with 40% capacity to enter Machu Picchu and all of the archeological sites
  • Is still safe to travel to Peru? YES, with caution, the travel option to Peru is only with a negative antigen test done upon your arrival or after completing your 14 days’ quarantine the two options must be done in addition to the negative PCR test before your departure with the safety protocols.
