You will be waking up to a traditional Andean breakfast. After breakfast, we will give you an immersive tour of the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo.

This is the former administrative capital of the Incas. The town is nestled amidst two peaks, each home to the remains of Inca fortresses. We will be touring the main fortress, which also houses the remains of an Inca temple.

This site was sacred to the Incas. When the Spanish conquistadors intended to invade the town in 1537, this holy place turned into a deadly battleground.

After an immersive tour of Ollantaytambo, we will drive you to Pisac. Along the way, we will be stopping for lunch. Your “Farm to Table” lunch in this family-owned restaurant will include local flavors.

After lunch, you will have time to walk around the property and see how they produce the White Corn of Cusco.

We recommend visiting early in the morning to witness the golden rays of the rising sun beaming on the Inca walls as the blanket of clouds would unveil the Inca citadel.

You can also hike to Huayna Picchu Peak for a panoramic citadel view. Please note that the hike up to Huayna Picchu is quite challenging.

Also, just like hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, you will need a permit to hike to Huayna Picchu, which sells out months in advance. So please let us know when booking the tour if you wish to hike Huayna Picchu.

Once you have explored the Inca citadel, we will take the bus back to Machu Picchu town. We will be serving you lunch at one of the finest restaurants in Aguas Calientes.

We will take you to your hotel in the heart of the Inca City.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have free time to explore the city independently. Later in the afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel for a detailed Cusco City Tour.

On this guided tour of Cusco City, we will be visiting the prominent landmarks of Cusco. We will start with a visit to Qorikancha, the Inca temple of the sun, which was demolished during the Spanish conquest, and the church of Santo Domingo, which was built on its remains.

We will then drive you up the hill to Sacsayhuaman. This is a notable Inca site in Cusco. The fortress has walls perfectly cut to join them without using types of cement.

After visiting those sites, we will drive further out of the city to Q’enqo. This is the remains of an Inca ceremonial site. The Incas used this place to do their offerings and for the mummification of corpses.

We will then head to Tambomachay. This is the remains of an Inca spa reserved for elite families. The ducts here were built during the Inca rule and still carry water from the nearby lake.

After getting an insight into the Inca architecture here, we will visit Puca Pucara. The name in Quechua means Red Rock. It is named after the color it bears at dusk.
